It’s only natural that this year’s annual networking event will take attendees on a journey of evolutionary discovery – human and otherwise. Join us at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, the world’s largest natural history museum, which boasts more than 140 million natural science specimens and cultural artifacts.
Enjoy refreshments and heavy hors d’oeuvres while you network with colleagues and an elephant named Henry in the Rotunda or wander to the Ocean Hall and ponder the spectacular underwater creatures, including models of a 45-foot-long North Atlantic Right Whale and two giant squids. Explore the Hall of Mammals to learn about the evolution of some of the earth’s most beautiful and ferocious creatures or visit the Hall of Geology, Gems & Minerals for a peek at Harry Winston’s finest baubles, including the remarkable Hope Diamond.
Complimentary and continuous round-trip shuttle bus service is provided from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. for the one-mile journey between the Walter E. Washington Convention Center (L Street entrance) and the Natural History Museum (10th St. & Constitution Ave. NW).
All guests must have an SLAS2019 badge and be 21 or older to attend.
